.::I See My Mother in Me::.

“But there's a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother's story, because hers is where yours begin.”
― Mitch AlbomFor One More Day

For a lot of years, my mother and I did not see eye to eye on most things. Our personalities are vastly different. In my teens, I resented her. In my early twenties, I rolled my eyes and shrugged off her suggestions--her parenting advice, her words of wisdom. In my thirties, I became her caregiver. I learned to listen. I discovered there was an actual person there, not just "mom". I began to understand why she was the way she was. Now, into my forties, I've realized that we are not so different, her and I. That realization inspired my newest kit, I See My Mother in Me.

I hope if you guys are lucky enough to still have your mother in your life, you take a moment to really "see" her. I am betting you find some of yourself in her person. :)

Have a great weekend, my lovelies!

I am lucky to still have my mother. She had a stroke 3 months ago and just recently returned home from a skilled nursing facility. I thank God every day and I doing my best to spend as much time with her as I can. I also realize how much alike we really are.
Thank you for posting Helly. The kit is beautiful and what a beautiful tribute to your mom.
God Bless. Jules

That is wonderful that you are getting this blessed time with your mother, Jules! I hope she is continuing to recuperate from her stroke. <3
