 Why is that September makes me so sad?

Is it the end of summer, the onset of fall, the changing of our world? I'm not sure quite what the reasons are. All I know, is that September always fills me with a strange sense of melancholy and loss. With this kit, I wanted to give summer one small last hurrah, but in muted neutral tones to express the solemnity I feel.
